With over thirty-five years in the automotive industry — from the UK to Asia and Australia — Digby has built a rare breadth of experience, spanning OEM and paint manufacturing through to business consulting with the vehicle repair and refinishing industry. That world-class multinational exposure across every part of the sector is what lets him tailor solutions that actually fit the shop in front of him.
Digby began in the UK as an area sales manager, then immigrated to Australia in 1984 to broaden his experience. Seven years with Dulux Autocolour saw him head a team that grew sales and established distributors across the Northern Territory, Far North Queensland and the top end of Western Australia — redesigning the supply chain and doubling the client base to deliver more growth than any prior year. Relocating with Dulux to Melbourne, he developed the regional network, before moving across to Dulux Industrial Protective Coatings and returning to the Northern Territory to build a supply chain there as he had in auto refinish.
Working that closely with the repair and refinish trade led him to start his own collision repair company in 1992, which grew rapidly and expanded into the towing and insurance industries.
In 2000 global paint manufacturer PPG Industries approached Digby to spearhead a consulting department for the ANZ and Asia-Pacific markets. It soon became one of the largest departments in the company. His roles at PPG included Business Development Manager Queensland, National MVP Manager Queensland, National MVP Manager Australia/NZ, and National Strategic Relationships Manager Australia/NZ.
In late 2014 Digby founded his own consultancy, working with multiple shops for prestige OEMs across the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and the EU. In these regions Mayor Consultants orchestrates the building of shops and repair networks with a focus on the rapid repair sector using the latest UV technology.
That work has since grown into a globally integrated supply chain and logistics operation for automotive consumables and equipment — the business behind this site.
